Overview
An operation repair status indicates the current stage of work for an individual operation within a case. Operation repair statuses track progress at the operation level, giving service teams granular visibility into where each line item stands.
Operation repair statuses are grouped into four categories: Not Started, In Progress, Complete, and On Hold.
Accessing Operation Repair Statuses
Operation repair statuses are visible in the Operations Progress Panel, which appears on the case details page. To view the panel, click View Operations Progress below the Case Timeline. You can also view and change operation repair statuses from the Edit Operation page and the Operations Table.
Operation Repair Statuses
Not Started
Not Started: The operation has not been deferred or declined, but no active work has begun. This status is assigned by default when an operation is added to a case and has not yet progressed through the repair workflow.
In Progress
Diagnosing: A technician is actively examining the operation to assess the issue and determine the appropriate course of action. This status indicates that hands-on evaluation is underway.
Working: Repair work for this operation is in progress. This status reflects that a technician has been assigned and the operation is in progress.
Road Test Required: The operation requires a road test before it can be considered complete. This status indicates that the shop work is complete, but final validation is pending.
Road Test Complete: The road test for this operation is complete. The operation is ready to move toward completion pending any remaining workflow steps.
Sublet in Progress: The operation has been sent to an external vendor or sublet provider. Work is ongoing outside the facility.
Complete
Complete: All work for this operation has been finished. No further action is required on this operation.
Ready for Billing: The operation is complete and has been flagged for billing. This status indicates the operation is ready to be included in the final invoice.
On Hold
Waiting for Parts: Work on this operation cannot proceed until the required parts are received. The operation is paused pending parts availability.
Waiting for Customer: Further action or authorization is needed from the customer before work can continue. The operation is paused pending customer response.
Waiting for Tech Support: The operation requires technical support or additional expertise before work can resume. The operation is on hold pending that input.
Internal Block: An internal issue is preventing work on this operation from continuing. This status indicates an internal resolution is needed before the operation can proceed.
