Happy New Year! This is our first release of 2021, and focuses on enhancing usability for Service Providers.
Mileage and Engine Hours Fields Auto-Populate at Case Creation When Data is Fresh
We have improved the user experience for Service Providers during the case creation process by auto-populating the Mileage and Engine Hours fields when available data is newer than eight hours. Mileage and Engine Hours may be automatically populated by an external tool or service such as Mobile Check-In or plug-in diagnostics tools as expected, until those values are older than eight hours.
This ensures that asset data is fresh, and that the Mileage and Engine Hours fields are not populated with old or inaccurate data that could lead to warranty or repair problems down the line.
At any point, a user can also manually update the Mileage and Engine Hours fields on the case, as well.

Attaching .PSDATA Files to a Case
Service Providers can now attach .PSDATA files to the Attachments section of the Editing Case page. Previously, Service Providers encountered an error when attempting to attach a .PSDATA file, since proprietary software is required to read the files. This is no longer an issue.
We’ve also added a message to the Attachments section to help users understand what to do when they encounter a .PSDATA file in Case: “.PSDATA files require proprietary software to be opened and can only be opened after downloading to your computer.”
