Case V8.50.0
Email Templates – Note Notify
When someone adds a note to a case, Decisiv emails the update using the Note Notify template. This release fixes how the subject lines of those emails work.
- Default subject lines are translated. Note email subject lines now use your location’s default language instead of always being in English.
- Custom subject lines now work. If your location saves its own subject line in the Note Notify template, every note email uses it, whomever the recipient is. Before, changes to this field were ignored.
- Liquid variables work in subject lines. You can add variables such as the unit number or case details to a custom subject line, and they’ll fill in correctly.
- Shorter subject line for service providers. Emails to service provider and broker users now read “[Platform] Note Added to Case”. The case number was taken out because it already appears at the end of every case email.
What stays the same:
- Every case email still ends with the case number in brackets, for example [98765432]. This lets replies get matched back to the right case, and it’s added automatically to custom subject lines too.
- No setup is needed. If you don’t customize the template, the default subject lines work as before, now translated.
PSSM Fleet Case – Remote Diagnostics Faults Tab
If your fleet location has PACCAR Remote Diagnostics turned on, the Faults tab now shows on every case, even when no diagnostic data has come in yet.
What’s changing:
- The Faults tab is always there. Before, it only showed if diagnostic data arrived when the case was created. If none came in, the tab stayed hidden, and you couldn’t request the data later.
- You can request data whenever you need it. If a case has no diagnostic data yet, open the Faults tab and select Refresh Data to get the vehicle’s latest trip and fault information.
Why it matters:
Fleet users now get the same Faults tab experience as service providers and dealers so that you can check a vehicle’s diagnostics from any case.
What stays the same:
- Diagnostic data still comes from PACCAR Remote Diagnostics, and the eligibility rules haven’t changed. The vehicle needs the required hardware and an active Remote Diagnostics subscription.
- Cases that already show fault data look the same as before.
- You don’t need to set anything up.

PDF Estimates & Billing Customer Information
Users will soon be able to set the Billing Customer on Estimate PDFs instead of the vehicle’s primary Customer. When a third party, such as a fleet management or billing company, is paying for the repair, the estimate they receive can now be in their name.
A new Customer Information section, with Customer and Billing Customer options, now appears in these three places:
- Print/PDF Actions
- Request Approval
- Send Estimate to Customer
Customer is selected by default, and with it the Estimate PDF looks the same as it does today.
When you select Billing Customer on a case where the Billing Customer is different from the Customer:
- Page 1 shows the Billing Customer name and Billing Customer Number, followed by the Billing Customer’s address, phone, and fax.
- The primary Customer name and Customer Number appear below that for reference.
- Every subsequent page shows the Billing Customer name and number in the header.
- If the Billing Customer has no customer number, it shows N/A.
